Product Description
It's time to "block" around the clock! Two toys in one, this colorful clock combines shape sorting and learning to tell time. Place the numbered and shaped pieces in their proper place on the face of the clock, then move the hour and minute hands to make telling time fun! Measures 9" x 5".

5 out of 5 stars Love this one!   August 29, 2010
F. Bohorques (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
My 2 yr old loves this toy, not only she's learning about shapes, but numbers at the same time. She can easily play with this for 20 min, and the best part it doesn't break.

5 out of 5 stars Very pleased with this toy   August 20, 2010
M (Austin, TX)
I'm an aunt to several young kids, and I've learned the value of putting together a toybox of my own to keep them entertained when they come to visit. I liked the wide age range on this toy, also that it didn't make noise and was not messy : ) I gave it to my 3-year-old niece last time she was here. At first she was confused by it and declared loudly that she "did not know how to play with this toy," but once we showed her, she REALLY took to it. She would play with it one way, then put it aside and then back to it an hour later. She took it to all the adults and asked them to "help her play with it" - and it's so versatile, we could all do something different, like show her how the clock hands moved around and talk about all the different things she did during the day and at what time, etc. She had just turned 3, so she was kind of the minimum age for this toy, but obviously still very relevant. It also encouraged quiet, thoughtful play and engaging with us adults, something we all really appreciated.

5 out of 5 stars Colorful just right for preschooler toddlers   August 15, 2010
Charles R. Oyerly (Vinita, OK)
We purchased this for our great granddaughter who is 2 1/2 years old. She had been building Melissa and Doug puzzles for awhile, and I thought she might concept this clock. I worked with her some, showing her how to match the numbers on the wooden pieces with the number on the face of the clock. She can recognize the pieces and put them in the right spot on the clock face, but not sure at this age she knows a 6 from a 9 lol!

Melissa and Doug make the very best toys for toddlers and I am sure she will be getting a lot of use out of this toy.

5 out of 5 stars toddler toy   August 7, 2010
Lana Floyd (Fort Payne, AL, USA)
well built, sturdy and durable, bright colors, can be washed and disinfected. educational, favors muscle development of hands, fingers, eye-hand co-ordination, helps to teach numbers and colors, satisfied with product/service

5 out of 5 stars Had it 7 years. Nice to see they have changed the "5" and "6" shapes.   July 1, 2010
M. Heiss (USA)
I'm glad they made the "5" shape a pentagon and the "6" shape a hexagon -- it always bugs my kids that those are mixed up.

We have the old version of this toy, so I can speak for its durability. It's basically impossible to harm this toy. There is some minor wear to the shaped pieces, but the hands and the clock base and the pieces themselves look like only one very careful child has ever played with it. Heh ... Instead of my boisterous boys. Seven years of use, and still going strong.

I got it out this week to teach my kindergartener how to tell time. Actually, the brothers worked together and made up a game with homemade flashcards to teach the little one. Great review for older kids, great way to learn for younger kids.

Just a great toy, a great value. I'll probably hang onto this until my kids have kids.
