Sorry, but it is rubbish April 15, 2010 junk.box 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I might have got the wrong item, but no, it is the Learning Resources LER 2432.
All the City names are perfect, 5 Stars. But all country names are wrong, 0 Stars. How can I use it for teaching? It looks even very different to the picture on amazon and on learning resources. The colours are different the shape is absoloutely different and the quality is not good at all, it is more an old tomato than a globe.
Geographically Incorrect April 13, 2010 J. Jacobs (Santo Domingo, D.R.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We bought this blow up globe for our infant son, so we aren't too tremendously concerned about the fact that the names of countries are inaccurately printed on this globe!!! All the country names are printed approximately 1/2" above the territory. If you plan on using this globe as anything other than a earth-decorated beach ball (such as in a classroom setting or to teach your kids geography?!) this is not the globe for you. By the time our infant understands how to use a globe, we will have moved onto a bigger, better globe.
fine but collor not as vibrant April 1, 2010 Ethan's mom (Menlo Park, CA) I got it for my 14 month old so am not looking for educational value. The collor is a bit pale and did not catch his eyes. He did show interest when I inflated it, but lost interest very soon.
Overall Pleased with Globe March 21, 2010 Keith J. Karnok (Watkinsville, GA, US) From what I can tell, it appears to be pretty good. Once you push in the nozzle used for inflating the globe, it is VERY difficult to get out. I could not pull it out with my fingers. I actually had to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to pull it out so I could deflate it. Perhaps once it has been opened and closed a few times it might be easier. Also, it is not perfectly round. The way it is manufactured necessitates it to have seams which does not allow it to be perfectly round. Although it did take a long time from from the time I placed the order to when it finally came in. I missed the date that I needed it most, but had it for the second date a week later. In any case, it worked for my purposes and probably worth the money.
Globe March 5, 2010 Alexandra S. Kunkel (NY, NY) This was purchased for my Astronomy class and it is easy to blow up and works just fine. In good condition.
