I got these letters to use on a wall in my daughter's bedroom that I painted with magnetic paint. Sadly, they didn't work there -- they were too heavy (or the magnets weren't strong enough, take your pick). They work great on the refrigerator, though. She loves to arrange them and they stick well. They haven't broken even though she has thrown them across the kitchen floor many times.

We keep these scattered on our fridge, so on that note, they don't scratch the surface. We got them for our baby, but she's more interested in gnawing on them than actually learning what they are. It's a fun distraction for her when she's playing in the kitchen. Just watch out for some of the smaller letters - they could be choking hazzards.
The letters are also fun for silly adults that like to spell out silly things, and then get yelled at by your non-approving spouse.

I purchased these for my grandaughter who is constantly pulling my magnets off my refrigerator. She is only 15 months old but we have been having alot of fun with these, even though she doesn't even know they are letters yet. They are very durable and a great large size, and have prompted the entire family to spell out messages. Happy with this purchase.

These jumbo letters are great for little hands. Easy to manipulate and larger than the version you are used to. My sister-in-law is a nurse and says they pull the small letters out of kids all the time, which scared me, so I decided to upgrade and buy these jumbo sized letters. My daughter loves playing with them on the fridge!

These letters are large, bright and durable. The only negative is that I did not receive 30 numbers as was described. Instead I received extra stars and operation signs which I don't need.
